Beschäftigung und Arbeitslosigkeit im Burgenland 1995 bis 2003

Abstract

Neben einer hohen Saisonalität und einer erheblichen Mismatch-Komponente war vor allem die Ausweitung des Arbeitskräfteangebotes Anfang der neunziger Jahre dafür maßgebend, dass die Arbeitslosigkeit nicht ausreichend verringert wurde. Im untersuchten Zeitraum hat sich die Wirtschaftsstruktur verbessert. Die kräftige Arbeitskräftenachfrage schlug sich in einer Lohnkonvergenz nieder. Der burgenländische Arbeitsmarkt ist durch eine große Offenheit gegenüber Arbeitskräften aus anderen Bundesländern geprägt.
