Abstract

In dem Artikel wird der Einfluss des TV-Duells 2013 auf die Einschätzung einer Übereinstimmung von politischen Positionen der Kanzlerkandidaten mit deren Parteien untersucht und überprüft, welche Auswirkungen eine Bewertungsänderung für die Wahlentscheidung hat. Analysiert werden drei Hypothesen, wobei sich zeigt, dass das TV-Duell (1.) zu einem Anstieg in der Wahrnehmung Steinbrücks als Repräsentant seiner Partei führt, was (2.) wiederum für ihn positive Effekte auf die Kanzlerpräferenz mit sich brachte. Dies führte letztendlich (3.) auch zu einer gestiegenen Wahlwahrscheinlichkeit für die SPD. Damit kann der Einfluss des TV-Duells auf eine weitere Bewertungsdimension der Kandidatenorientierung und damit auf das Wahlergebnis nachgezeichnet werden.
