Abstract

The increasing complexity of pharmaceutical projects has significantly strengthened the role of cross-functionalteams in ensuring successful project implementation. Such teams integrate specialists from different departments, including quality assurance, production, regulatory affairs, and supply chain. While this structure allows organizations tocombine diverse expertise, it also creates several managerial challenges. This study aims to identify and analyze the key difficulties associated with managing cross-functional teams withina pharmaceutical company. The empirical research is based on data collected from employees of FE LLC “NobelPharmsanoat” using a structured questionnaire. The results show that communication gaps, conflicting priorities betweendepartments, and issues related to documentation and data management have the strongest impact on project outcomes. At the same time, regulatory pressure, although significant, has a less direct influence on team effectiveness. The findingshighlight the importance of improving coordination mechanisms, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and strengtheningcommunication processes to enhance project performance.
