Abstract

This study aims to improve supply chain operations by addressing various difficulties such as synchronous rework, dynamic inventory management with ramp-type demand, and the impact of Weibull distribution on deterioration patterns. The study uses a production inventory model to develop strategic methods for reducing waste and optimizing resource usage throughout the supply chain. The primary focus of research is to reduce carbon emissions, which is a crucial aspect in the current era of environmental accountability. The study investigates the effectiveness of exponential and linear green technologies in reducing the carbon footprint of supply chain activities. The research analyzes the impact of exponential green technology, which features disruptive developments, and linear green technology, which focuses on steady gains on sustainable practices. The study provides a comprehensive framework for businesses aiming to balance economic efficiency with environmental stewardship by combining insights from the production inventory model and green technology analysis. By integrating findings from the production inventory model and the analysis of green technologies, the research offers a framework for businesses seeking to align economic efficiency with environmental stewardship. The proposed strategies aim to enhance the resilience and sustainability of supply chain operations, considering evolving market demands and global environmental considerations. This research provides valuable information for decision-makers striving to execute efficient carbon emission reduction strategies while maintaining the sustainability of their supply chain operations. The proposed strategy is supported by management insights and illustrated through numerical examples. A sensitivity analysis is conducted to determine the suitable course of action for adjusting model parameters.
