Abstract

El presente artículo analiza la relación existente entre deporte y desarrollo territorial. A partir de un análisis envolvente de datos (DEA), del cálculo del índice de Malmquist y de un modelo de regresión Tobit, con el uso de variables de inversión, competitividad y éxitos deportivos, se quiere ahondar en el conocimiento de este binomio para el caso concreto de las comunidades autónomas españolas para 2011, 2015 y 2018, primero y último del que se disponen de datos, además del año intermedio. Los principales resultados muestran unas diferencias y especificidades territoriales importantes en el deporte de España y refuerzan la estrecha relación antes comentada.
