Nutzer und Nutzung der Social Media-Profile von Theatern – Ergebnisse einer empirischen Untersuchung auf Facebook

Abstract

In spite of the increasing relevance of Social Media for arts organizations, there is hardly any empirical research. The aim of this paper was to bridge this gap. For this purpose fans of the Facebook profiles of 16 public German theaters were asked to participate in an online survey (n=939). The results on user characteristics and their use of the profiles are helpful for future marketing activities of theaters and other research projects in the field of arts management.
