A budapesti közlekedési dugók okai és következményei
[The causes and consequences of traffic jams in Budapest]

Abstract

A fenntartható gazdasági fejlődés elengedhetetlen feltétele a jól működő közlekedési hálózat. Az írás legfontosabb célja az, hogy felhívja a figyelmet az egyre intenzívebb budapesti személygépkocsi-használat és a forgalmi torlódások gazdasági vonatkozású problémáira. Az úthálózat fizikai korlátai miatt a fővárosiak utazási igényét a jövőben csak a gépkocsinál hatékonyabb tömegközlekedéssel lehet kielégíteni. Amennyiben nem sikerül az autók térhódítását megállítani, a forgalmi dugók költségei, az időveszteségtől kezdve, az üzemanyagköltségeken át, a környezetszennye zésre visszavezethető kiadásokig egyre nagyobb terhet jelentenek majd Budapest számára. A torlódások csillapításához a nemzetközi tapasztalatok alapján elkerülhe tetlen a negatív ösztönzők alkalmazása. Az elmúlt évek egyik legsikeresebb forga lomszabályozási megoldásának a belvárosi útdíj bizonyult a világ számos nagyváro sában. London és Stockholm példája azt bizonyítja, hogy a városlakók támogatják a közérdeket szolgáló közlekedési intézkedéseket, még akkor is, ha azok az autóhasz nálat korlátozását jelentik.
