Abstract

Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) plants can be built either onshore or offshore, utilizing three basic OTEC cycles: The Open Cycle (OC), the Closed Cycle (CC), and the Hybrid Cycle (HC). This study aims to determine the most optimal OTEC system type to be adopted in the northeast region of Tobago. By employing a multi-criteria decision-making tool (MCDM), the most optimal OTEC system for Tobago can be identified.
