How does improvements in regional security level mitigate corporate financing constraints?

Abstract

Financing constraints are a global challenge, limiting corporate growth and impeding development. Using data from A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2023, this study examines the correlation between regional security and business financing limitations. Results indicate that reducing regional security levels can effectively alleviate financial restrictions. This positive effect is associated with improved social responsibility awareness, increased total factor production, and asset safety. This study offers valuable guidance for the government to establish a stable environment.
