¿Candidatas o espectadoras? Un análisis del impacto de la ley de cuotas

Abstract

Este artículo expone que, luego de la introducción de la ley de cuotas, los partidos políticos nominaron a candidatas mujeres en peores condiciones que a candidatos hombres en las elecciones parlamentarias del año 2017. Así, ellas tuvieron 20 puntos porcentuales menos de probabilidad de ocupar el primer lugar de su partido en la papeleta y recibieron un millón de pesos menos en aportes de su colectividad. Los cálculos realizados indican que la desventaja en la ubicación en la papeleta electoral se transformó en una pérdida que va de una a cinco parlamentarias.
