Quarterly Real Value of GDP: Latest Results

Abstract

In addition to real gross domestic product, the German Federal Statistics Office also regularly calculates the real value of gross domestic product. Both key indicators differ as far as the terms-of-trade effect is concerned. The purchasing power of income generated by the domestic economic process in Germany in 2015 rose more sharply than real gross domestic product for the third time in succession. This applies both to the annual average figure and economic developments over the course of the year.
