Zur gesamtwirtschaftlichen Preisentwicklung

Abstract

Der Preisindex des Bruttoinlandsprodukts (BIP-Deflator) ist einer der wichtigsten Inflationsindikatoren im Rahmen der Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnungen. Er misst die Preisentwicklung der gesamten von der Wirtschaft erbrachten Produktionsleistung. Im vergangenen Jahr zeigte sich eine bemerkenswerte Divergenz zwischen der Entwicklung des BIP-Deflators und der Preisentwicklung der Teilkomponenten des Bruttoinlandsprodukts. So stieg der Preisindex des BIP mit 1,8% kräftig an, während die Preisindizes der Endnachfrage (Konsum, Bruttoinvestitionen und Exporte) deutlich geringere Raten aufwiesen und der Importpreis-index sogar rückläufig war. Der vorliegende Beitrag zeigt, wie der BIP-Deflator berechnet wird und wie die Ergebnisse zu interpretieren sind.
