Digital, nachhaltig, drittmittelstark: Die Ausschreibungen von VWL-Professuren in Deutschland

Abstract

Kathrin Stock, Peter Tillmann und Andreas Walter untersuchen den Markt für volkswirtschaftliche Professorinnen und Professoren an Universitäten in Deutschland zwischen 2014 und 2022. Dabei stützen sich die Autoren auf die Texte der Ausschreibungen von 429 Professuren in diesem Zeitraum. Die Texte zeigen, dass der Anteil an Tenure-Track-Professuren infolge des Bund-Länder-Programms deutlich gestiegen ist, dass Interdisziplinarität in jedem zweiten Ausschreibungstext Erwähnung findet und dass Drittmittel sogar in bis zu 85 Prozent der Ausschreibungen thematisiert werden. Die großen gesellschaftlichen Themen spiegeln sich in den Ausschreibungen wider: Die Bezüge zu den Themen Digitalisierung, Nachhaltigkeit und Migration nehmen im Zeitablauf zu.
