Abstract

This study analyzes expenditure patterns of Mexican households on high-energy foods between 2016 and 2020. It examines variations across income levels and the influence of food labeling policies on consumer behavior. Results suggest that expenditure trends are associated with socioeconomic status and regulatory measures, offering insights for policy design in nutritional health and food consumption.
