Introduction - Les questions soulevées en économie des migrations

Abstract

Nous proposons, sans chercher à être exhaustif, de visiter les approches principales qui ont marqué les travaux en économie sur les migrations à travers différentes questions fondamentales associées à la mobilité interrégionale ou internationale : qui migre et pour-quoi ? Quels sont les choix de localisation d’un migrant ? Comment s’intègre-t-il ? Gagne-t-il autant qu’un natif à niveau de qualification égal ? Y a-t-il ségrégation sur le marché de l’emploi ou en matière d’habitat ? Ce numéro de Région et Développement sur les migra-tions comprend un ensemble d’articles qui apportent certaines réponses à ces questions, en mettant en lien les comportements des migrants avec les caractéristiques des terri-toires de départ et de destination.
