Die Rolle von Arbeitsmärkten bei der Qualitätsauswahl in vertikal differenzierten Märkten

Abstract

Das Modell untersucht die Interaktion zwischen strategischen Investitionsentscheidungen auf unvollkommenen Gütermärkten und opportunistischem Verhalten bei der Entlohnung von Produktionsfaktoren. Der Einfluß einer Gewerkschaft zeigt sich nicht nur im Rückgang des durchschnittlichen Qualitätsangebots auf vertikal differenzierten Märkten, sondern auch durch die Verschärfung der Problematik multipler Gleichgewichte bei der Festlegung der Position im Markt - vorausgesetzt, die Qualitätskosten sind konvex. Die Produzenten hochwertiger Güter zählen aufgrund des Hold-up-Problems genauso wie das Aggregat der Branche zu den Verlierern einer Dezentralisierung der Lohnfindung.
