Etablierung einer digitalen Aktions- und Vernetzungsplattform Citizen Science am Thünen-Institut

Abstract

Citizen Science, als Ansatz der Beteiligung von Bürgerinnen und Bürgern sowie Personen mit unterschiedlichen Interessen z.B. Landwirtinnen und Landwirte erlangt zunehmend mehr Beachtung in der Agrar-, Forst-, Fischereiforschung und der Forschung in ländlichen Räumen. Bei der Etablierung von Citizen Science sind Vernetzung, Kommunikation und Kooperation auf Projektebene sowie auf der Ebene der Beteiligten notwendig. Welche Bedürfnisse an Vernetzung, Kommunikation und Kooperation bei Citizen Science bei den potentiellen Beteiligten vorliegen sind vielfach unbekannt. Entsprechend dieser Wissenslücke haben bei der 2. Thünen Citizen Science Fachtagung im Juli 2021 25 Teilnehmende aus sechs Fachinstituten des Thünen Institutes, des Julius-Kühn-Instituts und des Max Rubner-Institus Bedürfnisse und Anforderungen an Vernetzung, Kommunikation und Kooperation in Citizen Science diskutiert. Die Analyse der Tagungsinhalte weist auf ein bestehendes reges Interesse an einer institutsübergreifenden Kooperation, Kommunikation und Vernetzung in Citizen Science hin. Vertiefter fachlicher, methodischer und persönlicher Austausch sind als grundlegende Basis von Citizen Science identifiziert. Darüber hinaus sind ausreichend Möglichkeiten für das Erlernen von Fach- und Persönlichkeitskompetenzen wie z.B. Selbstlerntools und Kompetenzworkshops zu etablieren, um die Forschenden in der erfolgreichen Umsetzung von Citizen Science und partizipativen Projekten zu unterstützen. Für die Entwicklung von Citizen Science in der Agrar-, Forst-, Fischereiforschung und der Forschung in ländlichen Räumen wird eine Aktions- und Vernetzungsplattform als zentrale Einheit der Citizen Science Aktivitäten und Unterstützungen als notwendig erachtet. Der Aufbau der Aktions- und Vernetzungsplattform ist gemeinsam mit den Nutzern der Plattform durchzuführen. Dadurch sollen Citizen Science Aktivitäten gebündelt, Akteure vernetzt und Ressourcen für Citizen Science zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Die erarbeiteten konkreten Anforderungen an die Inhalte und Ressourcen wie z.B. versiertes Konfliktmanagement und Methodenworkshops fließen beim anstehenden Aufbau der Aktions- und Vernetzungsplattform gemeinsamforschen.thuenen.de ein.
