Abstract

Working paper on employment creation effects of land settlement projects in rural areas in developing countries - examines factors affecting rural employment such as crop diversification, infrastructure development, industrial promotion, and increased social services, includes a comparison and simulation models of human settlement projects, and constitutes part of a WEP research project on employment and income generation. Bibliography pp. 78 to 84, references and statistical tables.
