Geschlechtsspezifische Lohnunterschiede in Bayern

Abstract

"Der Gender Pay Gap, also die Lohnlücke zwischen vollzeitbeschäftigten Frauen und Männern, beträgt in Bayern 25,0 Prozent und fällt damit deutlich höher aus als im deutschen Durchschnitt (20,8 Prozent). In der Stadt Hof besteht mit 16,1 Prozent der niedrigste, im Landkreis Dingolfing-Landau mit 39,5 Prozent der höchste Lohnunterschied zu Ungunsten der Frauen. In allen bayerischen Kreisen verdienen Männer somit mehr als Frauen. Zudem scheinen die regionalen Unterschiede in der Höhe des Gender Pay Gap vor allem durch die Variation in den Löhnen der Männer getrieben zu sein. Grundsätzlich kann eine Vielzahl an Unterschieden in der Beschäftigungsstruktur zwischen Männern und Frauen zum Lohngefälle beitragen. Berücksichtigt man diese Unterschiede in den individuellen, betrieblichen und regionalen Merkmalen, reduziert sich der Lohnunterschied auf 16,1 Prozent. Folglich bleibt der Großteil dieser bereinigten Lohnlücke unerklärt. Allerdings tragen dazu auch Faktoren bei, die aufgrund fehlender Information in der Berechnung nicht berücksichtigt werden können. Lediglich 4,8 Prozentpunkte des Gender Pay Gaps lassen sich auf eine schlechtere Bewertung lohnbestimmenden Eigenschaften der Frauen zurückführen." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
