Zuwanderer aus Bulgarien und Rumänien: Arbeitsmigration oder Armutsmigration?

Abstract

"Der starke Anstieg der Migration aus Bulgarien und Rumänien hat Befürchtungen ausgelöst, dass dies den Arbeitsmarkt und die Sozialsysteme in Deutschland belasten könnte. Zwar sind die bulgarischen und rumänischen Neuzuwanderer im Durchschnitt geringer qualifiziert als andere, aber die Arbeitslosenquoten und die Anteile der Bezieher von Transferleistungen sind unter den hier lebenden Bulgaren und Rumänen deutlich geringer als bei anderen Migrantengruppen - und insgesamt profitiert Deutschland von dieser Zuwanderung. Allerdings sieht das Bild in deutschen Großstädten sehr unterschiedlich aus. Die Autoren zeigen, dass die Nettozuwanderung aus Bulgarien und Rumänien nach Einführung der Arbeitnehmerfreizügigkeit am 1.1.2014 von 71.000 Personen im Jahr 2012 auf 100.000 bis 180.000 Personen steigen könnte."
