Sur la gouvernance du football français. L'analyse de Wladimir Andreff

Abstract

The development of a sport involves the production of a joint product, both each match involves two clubs and each competition involves several clubs. Three elements of response must be taken into account: the uncertainty of the result, the attractiveness of the sport and the competitive balance in the context of a monopolistic type of organisation. What are the advantages of a closed line compared to an open league? The problem of governance in French football is to avoid using television rights as a systematic means of easing the clubs' budgetary constraints. Television is a source of financial imbalance. The governance of clubs is still based on laws that are ill-suited to their specific situation.
