Damage control productivity : an input damage abatement approach

Abstract

Cet article vise à comparer la productivité marginale des trois grands types de pesticides (herbicides, fongicides et autres). L'analyse utilise un panel d'exploitations néerlandaises de grandes cultures (1989-1992) et la méthode du Maximum d'entropie généralisée. Les résultats montrent que les pesticides ont des effets différenciés sur la productivité des intrants agricoles productifs (engrais en particulier). Ils montrent également que les spécifications classiques de fonction de production et celles utilisant l'approche dite de l'abattement des dommages fournissent des résultats équivalents en terme de productivité marginale des pesticides.
