Abstract

******ABSTRACT: Social inclusion and transformation is a big challenge for the Caribbean region, not only for the actions required to settle on, but also for the economic resources to get it done. The purpose of this paper is to identify the main financing sources to get the socioeconomic gaps close in those sectors identified by Casa Grande Caribe, and project them over the period 2019-2030. Investments from these initiatives would prioritize health, education, sanitation and nutrition. Results show that that there is a significant potential of about US$44.000 million, coming from improving the regional tax potential, from royalties, and from the national budget. Across all the above, a necessary condition to get better results, with the existing and new financial resources, is a higher quality of the regional spending.
