Abstract

La importancia del libro Teorías sobre relaciones internacionales. Perspectivas y lecturas desde América Latina radica en la exposición de parte del debate que se da entre académicos y pensadores inscritos en distintas corrientes teóricas, sobre todo en lo relacionado con el lugar donde se construye el conocimiento. En nuestro caso, elaborar propuestas que se originan en la particularidad latinoamericana, un conocimiento situado, y desde el cual también es posible pensar el sistema internacional. Esto último se vio enriquecido con propuestas teóricas y metodológicas elaboradas en otras regiones del planeta, las cuales han visualizado y también cuestionado las relaciones internacionales por ser una disciplina enraizada en la tradición del pensamiento occidental. Con este libro los integrantes del Observatorio de Análisis de los Sistemas Internacionales (OASIS), de la Universidad Externado de Colombia, desean contribuir en la reflexión planteada y, además, ser parte activa en el debate contemporáneo, el cual involucra la práctica, la utilidad y las modalidades en los estudios en relaciones internacionales.
