Abstract

Biogas is a type of renewable energy generated from solar energy, so the combustion product of biogas will not emit CO2 which affects the environment. Currently, the use of biogas for internal combustion engines such as vehicles and diesel generators is used in many countries in the world as well as in Vietnam. For the shipping industry, diesel engines are used, so the use of biogas on marine engines to meet the target of reducing harmful engine emissions into the environment and application strategies Renewable fuel sources for use on marine engines are very significant. The paper shows the results of the calculation of the conversion of diesel generators to become engines with biogas/diesel mixed fuel with the main contents: studying the necessary equipment for conversion engine to use biogas-diesel blended fuel.
