Gleichstellungsindex Arbeitsmarkt. Eine Analyse des Geschlechterverhältnisses auf dem Arbeitsmarkt in Österreich

Abstract

Die Gleichstellung zwischen Frauen und Männern auf dem Arbeitsmarkt wird durch eine Vielzahl von Einflussfaktoren bestimmt. Der Gleichstellungsindex Arbeitsmarkt bündelt 30 Indikatoren aus den Themenbereichen Arbeit, Einkommen, Bildung und Familie, um die Situation der Gleichstellung von Frauen und Männern auf dem Arbeitsmarkt zu beschreiben. Gemessen an diesem Index erreichten Frauen 2013 in Österreich durchschnittlich nur 70% der Werte von Männern. Merklich schlechter schneiden Frauen in den Bereichen Familie und Einkommen ab. Die Daten zeigen eine bessere Gleichstellung auf dem Arbeitsmarkt als in den anderen Bundesländern für Wien und eine unterdurchschnittliche Ausprägung für Vorarlberg.
