Prozessorientierte Organisation und Effizienz im Krankenhaus

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Umsetzung einer prozessorientierten Organisation im Krankenhaus. Dabei werden zunächst die wichtigsten organisatorischen Gestaltungselemente dieses Ansatzes dargestellt, bevor untersucht wird, ob und auf weiche Art und Weise eine prozessorientierte Krankenhausorganisation zweckmäßig ist. Anschließend erfolgt eine empirische Untersuchung von zwei Hypothesen. Überprüft wird zum einen, ob der Grad an prozessorientierter Organisation in Krankenhäusern von der jeweiligen Versorgungsstufe abhängt, und zum anderen, ob sich ein hoher Grad an Prozessorientierung positiv auf die Krankenhauseffizienz auswirkt. Die Effizienzmessung erfolgt auf der Grundlage von Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Beide Hypothesen können auf der Grundlage der erhobenen Daten bestätigt werden.
