Abstract

[eng] This article describes the use of the Internet as an additional step of the technological innovation process, which has started many years ago, defining the suppliers-to-retailers relationships. This evolution is the result of an ongoing creation process of new consumer needs and of an effort in reducing the costs of the supply chain. It could evolve, in the future, in a specialisation of the information management tasks amongst all those involved in the supply chain.
