Abstract

A cikk a magyar feldolgozóipar Európai Unióba irányuló kivitelének 1993-2000 közötti szerkezeti sajátosságait hasonlítja össze négy periférikus EU-tagország, öt közép-kelet-európai ország és négy volt szovjet köztársaság EU-exportjával. Az összehasonlító elemzés fő dimenziói: 1. a tényezőintenzitási létrán (erőforrás-intenzív, munkaintenzív, skálaintenzív, szakosodott ellátó és tudományalapú) való elhelyezkedés, 2. az ágazaton belüli kereskedelemben nem alárendelt pozícióban való részvétel, 3. a magasabb technológiai kategóriába sorolható kivitel aránya az ugyanilyen behozataléhoz képest és 4. az exportált termékek árai az EU átlagos importáraihoz viszonyítva. E dimenziók valójában az egyes országok ipari érettségének olyan jellemzői, amelyek annak megítélése szempontjából fontosak, hogy melyik ország ipara mennyire képes megbirkózni az Európai Unión belüli versennyel és piaci erőkkel. Ez pedig azért lányeges, mert az elemzett országok közül mind az öt közép-keleteurópai és a négy volt szovjet köztársaság közül kettő jelölt a tagságra.
