Abstract

An overview of the services sector in Mexico is presented through GDP. A weighting model of the GDP growth rate is applied to the services subsectors to be evaluated and analyzed during the study period. This work is complemented with the regional analysis techniques applied to the GDP services Sector for the years 2008 and 2014 in order to know the better and worse positioned federative entities through the coefficient of participation and location. The services sector in Mexico has been strengthened in recent years by the interest of large companies in investing in Mexico in the development of large long-term projects with high added value for a demand for quality services. The objective is to give a diagnosis of the services sector in Mexico and calculate the integration factor of each of the service subsectors.
