Abstract

Regional differences matter in the discussion about longterm-unemployment. For the share of the long-term unemployed of all unemployed persons ranges from eleven to sixty per cent at district level. Low values above all in southern Germany stand in contrast to very high shares, especially in the urban regions of North Rhine-Westphalia and in some rural regions of Eastern Germany. (IAB) ((en))
