Futbol Mac Sonuclarinin 4 Buyuklerin Hisse Senedi Getirilerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu calismanin amaci, futbol kuluplerinin saha performansinin finansal performans uzerine etkisini arastirmaktir. Calismada, Borsa Istanbul’da (BIST) islem goren Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray ve Trabzonspor spor kuluplerinin 2009-2010 sezonu ile 2012-2013 sezonu arasinda Super Lig ve Ulusal Kupa mac sonuclarinin hisse senedi fiyatlari uzerindeki etkisi incelenmistir. Analiz yontemi olarak olay calismasi (event study) yontemi uygulanmistir. Calisma, yenilgi ve/veya beraberlikle sonuclanan maclarin 4 Buyuklerin piyasa degerlerini etkiledigini ortaya koymaktadir. Yatirimcilarin ozellikle mac yenilgilerine verdikleri tepkiler, beraberliklere verdikleri tepkilerden daha guclu bir sekilde getirilere negatif olarak yansimaktadir. Ozellikle, Besiktas ve Fenerbahce’nin hisse senedi yatirimcilari mac yenilgi ve beraberliklerinde daha fazla kaybederken, Galatasaray ve Trabzonspor’un hisse senedi yatirimcilari daha az kaybetmektedirler. Bu durum, yatirimcilarin rasyonel davranmadiklarini ve tepkilerini mac sonuclarina gore duygusal bir sekilde verdiklerini gostermektedir.
