Abstract

This study presents a techno-economic evaluation of a previously developed RSOC-based system that simultaneously produces electricity and freshwater. The system integrates a reversible solid oxide cell (RSOC), an organic Rankine cycle, and a zero-liquid-discharge desalination unit. Building on earlier thermodynamic and exergy assessments, this work investigates the system's financial viability by estimating investment costs and analyzing levelized product costs and key profitability indicators.
