Artificial intelligence technology innovation and enterprises’ shared prosperity: An analysis based on labor income share

Abstract

This study uses enterprises’ labor income share as the research entry point and empirically examines the impact of internal artificial intelligence (AI) technology innovation on enterprises’ shared prosperity. The findings indicate that corporate AI technology innovation significantly increases the labor income share, subsequently promoting shared prosperity within the enterprise. Further subgroup analysis demonstrates that this promotional effect is more pronounced for nonstate-owned and manufacturing enterprises and those located in regions with higher market development levels.
