Investor attention, corporate technology investment, and green innovation

Abstract

Based on panel data from China's A-shares listed companies from 2009 to 2023, this study constructs a panel model to examine the impact of investor attention and corporate technology investment on the level of green innovation. The empirical results show that: first, investor attention significantly enhances green innovation; second, corporate technology investment positively correlates with green innovation; third, investor attention moderates the relationship between technology investment and green innovation; fourth, compared to state-owned enterprises(SOEs), private enterprises(PEs) exhibit a more pronounced impact of investor attention on enhancing green innovation.
