Abstract

Based on provincial panel data from China between 2011 and 2023, this study examines the impact of digital finance and its various dimensions on the high-quality development of China's cultural industry, as well as the underlying mechanisms. The findings suggest that digital finance contributes to the high-quality development of the cultural industry in China. In terms of specific dimensions, the breadth of coverage, depth of use, and degree of digitization of digital finance all exhibit positive effects. Moreover, the promoting effect of digital finance is found to strengthen with the increasing level of marketization.
