La inercia de la estructura agraria en Colombia: determinantes recientes de la concentración de la tierra mediante un enfoque espacial

Abstract

El artículo desarrolla la hipótesis de inercia de la estructura agraria, indagando en los determinantes socioeconómicos y espaciales de la concentración de la propiedad de la tierra en Colombia a nivel departamental durante el período 2000-2010. Para el efecto, se fundamenta en conceptos del estructuralismo agrario, adaptándolos a herramientas metodológicas propias de la econometría espacial. La estimación del panel espacial permite concluir que son los motivos especulación y dominación los que explican la dinámica reciente de mayor concentración del uso y propiedad de la tierra. Así mismo, permite concluir la existencia de dependencia espacial departamental. ***** The article develops the hypothesis of inertia, applying it to agrarian structures and investigating socio-economic and spatial determinants of land tenure in Colombia at the departmental (regional administration) level for the period 2000-2010. The work is based on concepts of agrarian structuralism, adapting them to methodological tools of spatial econometrics. The estimation of spatial panels permits us to draw the conclusion that speculation and domination motives explain the recent dynamics leading to increased land tenure and intensity in its use. It also confirms the existence of spatial dependence between units at the departmental level. ***** L’article développe l’hypothese de l’inertie de la structure agraire, par une recherche des facteurs socioéconomiques et spatiaux de la concentration de la propriété de la terre au niveau départemental en Colombie au cours de la période 2000 – 2010. A cet effet, nous nous sommes basés sur des concepts du structuralisme agraire en les adaptant a des outils méthodologiques propres a l’économétrie spatiale. L’estimation du panel spatial permet de conclure que ce sont les motifs de spéculation et de possession qui expliquent la dynamique récente de plus grande concentration de l’utilisation et de la propriété de la terre. Cela permet de conclure a l’existence d’une dépendance spatiale départementale.
