Stadt oder Land – Wer ist stärker von Corona betroffen?

Abstract

Wir untersuchen in dieser Studie, ob sich das Coronavirus in Deutschland stärker in den Städten oder auf dem Land verbreitet. Unsere Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die erste Welle der Pandemie im Frühjahr 2020 überraschenderweise eher den ländlichen Raum in Deutschland getroffen hat. In der zweiten Welle seit Sommer 2020 sind hingegen die Infektionsraten in den Großstädten deutlich höher.
