Ludzkie życie jako czynnik produkcji w polskim handlu zagranicznym

Abstract

Porównanie jednostkowych nakładów związanych z eksportem i importem (przy pewnych założeniach upraszczających) pozwala wnioskować o relatywnym wyposażeniu danego kraju w badany czynnik produkcji, a także o korzyściach i niekorzyściach płynących z handlu, co z kolei może służyć do oceny stopnia internalizacji tego czynnika w kosztach produkcji. Daje to pośrednio możliwość relatywnej wyceny ludzkiego życia i zdrowia. W przypadku, gdy mnożnik wypadkowości dla eksportu jest wyraźnie wyższy niż dla importu (terms of trade w omawianym aspekcie wyższe niż 100) można by domniemywać, że kraj skłonny jest wymieniać życie i zdrowie obywateli na inne czynniki produkcji, tzn. że ludzkie życie i zdrowie cenione są w tym kraju niżej niż za granicą (w porównaniu z innymi czynnikami produkcji). Polską wymianę handlową w 2005 r. można ocenić pod tym względem jako raczej neutralną, co pośrednio może świadczyć, że postrzeganie wartości życia i zdrowia obywateli w naszym kraju nie odbiega znacząco od przeciętnego poziomu na świecie.
