Lohnzurückhaltung und gewerkschaftliche Vernunft: Die Politische Ökonomie des Arbeitsmarktes in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland der 60er Jahre

Abstract

Der westdeutsche Arbeitsmarkt in den 60er Jahren trägt im Rückblick einige märchenhafte Züge: Die Arbeitslosenquote betrug im 10-Jahres Durchschnitt (1960-69) nur ein Prozent, so daß neuere Untersuchungen von der Dekade der Überbeschäftigung sprechen . Arbeitskräfte aus dem Ausland wurden angeworben, um die Nachfrage nach Arbeit zu befriedigen. Die Streikaktivität war die niedrigste in der Geschichte 2 Deutschlands . Tarifabschlüsse folgten weitgehend der Produktivitätsentwicklung plus einem Inflationsausgleich, was auch den Empfehlungen des Sachverständigenrates entsprach.
