Abstract

Le rapport analyse divers aspects des répercussions d'une baisse de 10% du prix des cereales. Il est compose de deux parties de nature différente apportant deux éclairages complémentaires. La première se place au niveau agrégé et examine les conséquences d'une baisse du prix des cereales sur l'agriculture européenne insérée dans le contexte mondial, en insistant plus particulièrement sur le rôle central joue par le secteur de l'alimentation animale. La seconde partie est de nature microéconomique et centrée sur l'impact d'une baisse du prix des cereales sur le revenu des producteurs spécialisés en France : cet impact est décomposé en plusieurs effets afin de mettre en évidence les ajustements induits par la baisse des prix. Une baisse de prix des cereales de 3% par an environ est compatible avec un maintien du revenu des facteurs familiaux. Les exploitations spécialisées céréalières françaises résisteraient sans doute mieux a la baisse de prix que leurs homologues allemandes ou britanniques.
