Bilateral harmonization of EC and US agricultural policies

Abstract

Dans ce document, sont simulées les conséquences d'une modification des systèmes de protection en Europe et aux États-Unis, en distinguant les effets propres des effets croises. Ces simulations portent successivement sur les céréales et les produits de l'alimentation animale, sur le bœuf et les produits laitiers et sur le sucre. Les principaux résultats sont les suivants : les prix mondiaux sont parfois très modifiés et les effets croises sont faibles par rapport aux effets propres. Le secteur de l'alimentation animale joue un rôle essentiel dans les interactions entre les pays. Enfin d'un point de vue budgétaire, la stratégie de coopération apparait comme la meilleure.
