Abstract

Le processus continuel de globalisation et d'intégration en cours dans le monde a des effets importants, non seulement sur les agriculteurs et les industries connexes d'approvisionnement et de transformation, mais aussi sur le reste de l'économie mondiale. L'évaluation des impacts des politiques commerciales et agricoles est complexe, et nécessite bien souvent des analyses quantitatives reposant sur l'utilisation de modèles. Cet article fait le point sur les modèles économiques globaux qui analysent les effets des politiques agricoles et commerciales. L'article présente une étude comparative des différents types de modélisation en passant en revue seize modèles d'équilibre partiel et général. L'évaluation de ces modèles porte sur leurs fondements théoriques, les bases de données utilisées et sur les aspects institutionnels, tels que la maintenance des modèles et la diffusion des résultats. L'article procède également à une typologie de ces modèles sur la base d'un certain nombre de critères d'évaluation pertinents.
