Revue internationale de l'économie sociale, (288), 37-47. https://doi.org/10.7202/1022198ar Résumé de l'article Plusieurs facteurs déstabilisants affectent aujourd'hui la relation coopérative-adhérents : contexte économique instable, pressions accrues du libéralisme, mouvement de concentration des entreprises. En analysant les contextes anglo-saxon et français du contrat coopératif-qui lie l'adhérent à sa coopérative-, les auteurs montrent que le statut coopératif offre une certaine souplesse. Des éléments sont susceptibles de faire varier le contrat coopératif : qualité, volumes produits, prix payé aux agriculteurs et mode de rémunération des parts sociales. Même si c'est peu le cas actuellement, pour répondre aux attentes des adhérents et faire face aux contraintes économiques, les coopératives pourraient proposer à l'avenir des contrats plus individualisés. Une méthode d'étude des contrats individuels adhérent-coopérative et de leurs impacts sur la structure coopérative est proposée, appliquée au secteur laitier de l'ouest de la France.
