Abstract

Depuis une vingtaine d'années, les industries de la Mode et de l'habillement ont été marquées par une mutation profonde de leurs chaînes de valeur. Elles sont passées d'un modèle taylorien d'organisation du travail à une configuration de circuit court s'appuyant sur un haut niveau d'interactions entre les différentes parties prenantes. Ce mode d'organisation est souvent qualifié de districts dans la littérature. Le cas de la Mode montre que si ce type d'organisation a d'abord été mis en avant dans les secteurs de fabrication de l'industrie traditionnelle (sidérurgie, mécanique...), il trouve plutôt toute son expression dans les activités de création et devrait conduire à parler spontanément de « districts créatifs » plutôt que « districts industriels ».
