Localización Industrial: una Aproximación Empírica a los hechos estilizados de Bogotá

Abstract

Siguiendo el trabajo de Duranton and Overman (2002), se utiliza unmodelo microeconómico de maximización del valor de las firmas para modelarlas elecciones de ubicación de los establecimientos industriales. Éstese implementa empíricamente para establecimientos industriales (CIIU ados dígitos) en Bogotá utilizando herramientas de geografía cuantitativa.A nivel local, se encuentra que 19 industrias presentan localización y 11dispersión. A nivel global, 17 industrias presentan localización, mientrasque solo 3 presentan evidencia de dispersión. Estos resultados sirven comobase para el análisis del alcance y las fuentes de las economías de aglomeraciónen la ciudad.
