"Paysage à votre santé". Gesundheitsfördernde Landschaften - Eine Betrachtung von Naturparken

Abstract

Die positiven Wechselwirkungen zwischen Landschaft, Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden erfreuen sich sowohl in zeitgenössischer Forschung als auch in der raumplanerischen Praxis eines regen Interesses. Vor dem Hintergrund des demographischen Wandels wird Gesundheit ein immer wichtigeres Gut in unserer Gesellschaft, und Landschaft wird in diesem Zusammenhang als zentrale Ressource erkannt. Die Großschutzgebietskategorie der Naturparke wurde seit den 1960er Jahren vor dem Hintergrund der gesamtgesellschaftlichen Erholungsvorsorge konzipiert und in den historischen Planungen nimmt das Thema Gesundheit daher eine zentrale Rolle ein. Zahlreiche Naturparke besinnen sich auch heute auf dieses ursprüngliche Aufgabenfeld zurück und entwickeln entsprechende Angebote und Themenprogramme, die Teil der Außendarstellung und des Selbstverständnisses werden. In der wissenschaftlichen Forschung erfahren Naturparke hierzu bisher kaum tiefergehende Betrachtung, obwohl diese eine tragende Säule im Hinblick auf die Bereitstellung landschaftlicher Gesundheitsressourcen sind. In diesem Beitrag werden ausgewählte Naturparke in Hessen - sowohl aus historischer Perspektive als auch vor dem Hintergrund der gegenwärtigen Forschung - genauer beleuchtet, um Empfehlungen für deren Entwicklung im Kontext einer räumlich orientierten Gesundheitsplanung auszusprechen.
