Abstract

Die Mobilitätsbereitschaft hat in den slowakischen CENTROPE-Regionen seit dem EU-Beitritt der Slowakei deutlich abgenommen. Der Rückgang auf rund 1,0% der Bevölkerung im erwerbsfähigen Alter ist vor allem auf den wirtschaftlichen Aufholprozess der Slowakei zurückzuführen. Auch das nach Österreich gerichtete Potential verringerte sich und betrug Ende 2010 etwa 0,5% der Bevölkerung von Bratislava und Trnava im erwerbsfähigen Alter (hochgerechnet etwa 4.000 Personen). In Wien ist die Migrationsneigung sogar deutlich stärker ausgeprägt als in den slowakischen Regionen. Das Mobilitätspotential ist dabei in den slowakischen CENTROPE-Regionen weder positiv noch negativ nach Bildungsabschlüssen selektiert, die Mehrheit der Arbeitskräfte, die in Österreich arbeiten wollen, verfügt über eine mittlere formale Ausbildung und ist damit relativ gut qualifiziert. Arbeitskräfte aus der Slowakei würden einen Arbeitsplatz im Ausland jedoch häufig auch dann annehmen, wenn die Tätigkeit unter ihrem Qualifikationsniveau läge.
