Gesundheitsleistungen und Pflegegeldbezug

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag analysiert auf Basis innovativer Modelle und detaillierter Gesundheitsdaten die Zusammenhänge zwischen den bezogenen Gesundheitsleistungen von älteren Personen und dem Pflegegeldsystem. Der erstmalige Pflegegeldbezug lässt sich relativ gut prognostizieren. Das Alter, stationäre Aufenthalte in Krankenanstalten, Kontakte zu Allgemeinmedizinerinnen und -medizinern sowie die Verschreibung von Heilmitteln für das Nervensystem korrelieren am stärksten mit dem erstmaligen Pflegegeldbezug. Beim Übertritt in eine höhere Pflegegeldstufe zählen die bisherige Pflegegeldstufe, das Alter sowie die Verschreibung von Medikamenten für das Nervensystem zu den wesentlichsten Faktoren. Die bestehende Pflegegeldstufe korreliert stark mit dem Eintritt in stationäre Pflege, ebenso wie die Häufigkeit von Kontakten zu Allgemeinmedizinerinnen und -medizinern sowie das Alter. In einem statistischen Zusammenhang mit der Dauer der Krankenhausaufenthalte von Pflegegeldbeziehenden stehen die zuvor erfolgte Diagnose der essentiellen (primären) Hypertonie sowie rezente Computertomografien. Der Beitrag zieht gesundheitspolitische Schlussfolgerungen aus diesen Erkenntnissen.
