Abstract

[eng] This paper studies the relationship between continuous and discrete models in urban economics. In particular, it discusses the interpretation of the continuous model as well as its « discrete foundations ». [fre] L'objectif de cet article est de faire un tour d'horizon sur les liens qui peuvent exister entre le modèle continu et le modèle discret de l'économie urbaine. On s'interroge en particulier sur l'interprétation du modèle continu et sur les fonde­ments discrets qu'il peut avoir.
